Update: Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning launches with broken Xbox achievements By Sean Carey, 08 Sep 2020 CommentsUpdate: THQ Nordic has apologised for the numerous issues found in the Xbox One version of Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. A patch is on the way that should fix problems such as achievements and audio glitches, but the publisher can't say when it will be deployed as it's not entirely in THQ Nordic's hands at this stage. Once we hear more, we'll let you know. Original Story: Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is the latest game to launch with achievement problems. Not a single player has managed to register an achievement unlock since the game's launch. Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning officially launched today, but those who ordered the premium Fate edition received 24 hours early access to the game. Users in our forums soon reported that achievements were not unlocking at all. The game is now out and in the public's hands, but sadly, achievements are still not popping. Over on TrueTrophies, players are unlocking Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning PlayStation trophies without issue. The good news here is that the developer is aware of the problem. The Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Twitter account replied to a tweet asking about achievements saying that the issue was being looked into. Over in the game's Discord channel, an admin announced that a day one patch, which was supposed to roll out today, has been delayed until tomorrow. If you're looking to unlock some achievements, it might be worth holding off until this patch is live. Unfortunately, we don't know when this issue will be fixed. We have reached out to THQ Nordic for an update. As soon as we hear back, we'll let you know. Marvel's Avengers is having some Xbox achievement issues too. Several achievements in the action-adventure are not unlocking or tracking correctly, despite Crystal Dynamics rolling out a patch that intended to fix the problem.Xbox One Written by Sean CareySean joined the team as a Staff Writer for both TrueAchievements and TrueTrophies in 2019.
