Call of Duty: Warzone Most Wanted Contracts removed after one day of being live

By Sean Carey,
Infinity Ward has reversed its somewhat controversial decision to remove bounty contracts in Call of Duty: Warzone. Earlier this week, Bounties were replaced with the Most Wanted contract — a pick-up that highlights you on the map for five minutes. Survive, and you earn a re-deployment for your fallen squad and a hefty amount of cash.

It seems that players weren't happy with the switch, and despite being announced in the game's most recent patch notes, the change came as a surprise to some players. Although these patch notes didn't explicitly say that Bounties would be removed in exchange for the new contract. The Most Wanted contract slowed the pace of the game down. Players would camp and hide-out until the five-minute timer was up. Now, in a new update pushed last night, Infinity Ward has removed the Most Wanted contracts and replaced them with Bounties.

The small update also makes a couple of changes to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The timer for 3v3 Cranked Gunfight has been adjusted from 10 to 15 seconds along with the out of bounds timer in Infected. Players can also join Infected before the countdown ends.
