Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered finally launches for Xbox One today

By Heidi Nicholas,
Following heavy leaks, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered was officially announced last month, and became available for PS4 players at the same time. Now, after a month of PS4 exclusivity, Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered releases for Xbox One players later today, at 6pm BST / 10am PT / 1pm ET.

The PS4 exclusivity caused more than a little anguish for Xbox players, as did Activision's decision not to include multiplayer. By 6pm BST today, however, Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered will be available to all players. It's already up on the Microsoft Store, available to pre-order at $19.99/£19.99, with an approximate size of 45 GB.

Anyone who pre-orders today will still get the UDT Classic Ghost Bundle to use in Modern Warfare, Spec Ops, or Warzone. The bundle includes the UDT Ghost Operator skin, the "Task Force" and "One for One" weapon blueprints, a weapon charm, Finishing Move, Voice Quip, Animated Calling Card, an emblem, and, finally, two Battle Pass Tier Skips.

Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered releases later today, at 6pm BST / 10am PT / 1pm ET. We've got the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered achievement list if you'd like to check what you'll be up against beforehand. Will you be playing Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered? Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
